Linda Hsiung Dech, MPH, IBCLC
Linda Hsiung Dech joined the Milk Bank in September 2019 as the Executive Director. She is one of the founders of the Minnesota Breastfeeding Coalition and has served as the Peer Breastfeeding Coordinator with the Minnesota Department of Health Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. In addition to having a public health background, she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 20 years of work in breastfeeding advocacy and support.
Nancy Fahim, MBBCh, FAAP
Nancy brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to our team. As an assistant professor in the Division of Neonatology and a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School, she is deeply committed to understanding and advocating for the vital role of human milk in the care of NICU infants. Her daily work underscores the profound impact that human milk has on the health and development of these vulnerable babies.
Leslie Kummer, MD, MPH, IBCLC
Dr. Leslie Morris Kummer, MD, MPH, IBCLC, is a pediatrician and lactation medicine specialist with a deep passion for supporting breastfeeding families. After completing her medical training and residency, her own breastfeeding challenges inspired her to specialize in lactation care. Dr. Morris Kummer completed a fellowship and MPH at the UMN in 2019 and has since contributed to breastfeeding outcomes research. She has worked at HealthPartners and Mayo Clinic and now provides in-home newborn and lactation care in Rochester, MN, through Fourth Trimester Doc. Dr. Morris Kummer is a mother of two boys and enjoys spending time outdoors and gardening.
Jeanne Friebe, BSN, RN, IBCLC, RNC-LRN
Jeanne Friebe brings 35 years experience in hospital/ in-patient settings on post-partum, labor and delivery, Special Care Nursery and NICU. She supports women on their journey with achieving their breastfeeding goals and providing human milk to their little ones.
Kieley Filepp
Kieley Filepp (née Taylor) is an advertising agency executive with nearly 20 years of experience helping connect Fortune 500 brands to consumers while using the latest technology innovations. She is a proud mom of two boys and aspires to be a role model for working parents in her field. She is thrilled to be able to bring her personal and professional experiences together in championing the critical cause of the MN Milk Bank for Babies after experiencing the benefit of donor milk for her youngest son and from being a donor herself.
Alana Wright
Alana Wright is an accomplished leader with 25+ years of success in public health, health equity, philanthropy, and aging services. Alana has a strong passion to help individuals most in need, particularly those underserved due to their socioeconomic status. In addition to desiring to bring her professional talents to support MMBB mission, Alana and family utilized MMBB donor milk after the birth of their child while establishing breastfeeding.
